Short version: your SQL stays in your browser unless you press an AI button.
What runs where
The formatter, validator, minifier, converters and diagram tools run entirely in your browser. The SQL, CSV, JSON or DBML you paste is not uploaded to our servers.
What your browser remembers
To save you retyping, DiagramDB stores your latest input, tool options and diagram table positions in your browser’s localStorage (keys starting with ddb:). This data never leaves your device and there are no accounts.
AI helpers
“Explain this query”, “Explain & fix with AI”, “Generate schema” and “Ask” send only the text in that box (plus the chosen dialect or error message) to an AI model through Vercel AI Gateway, which forwards it to the model provider (OpenAI). We don’t store these requests. Don’t paste secrets, passwords or personal data into them.
Analytics
We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless and does not track you across sites.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard request logs (such as IP address and user agent) to serve pages and prevent abuse.
